Zane Kuhle is a Florida-based fine artist whose creative practice bridges the distinct worlds of fine art photography and studio ceramics.

Deeply inspired by the natural world, his work explores the delicate balance between intentional craftsmanship, and the beautiful, unpredictable spontaneity of raw elements.

Behind the lens, Zane captures the striking textures, landscapes, and wildlife of the coastal environment, with a particular focus on detailed botanical close-ups. His photography serves as an ongoing study of form, light, and natural design—themes that directly inform his work at the pottery wheel.

In the ceramics studio, Zane specializes in alternative, low-fire atmosphere techniques, including Raku, horsehair reduction, and heritage Obvara firings. Pulled from the kiln at glowing, extreme temperatures, his hand-thrown vessels force an immediate, fiery dialogue with organic matter to produce entirely unique, unrepeatable surface patterns.

Alongside these sophisticated gallery vessels, he also crafts functional wheel-thrown pottery incorporating sculpted faces, blending rigorous technique with a nod to traditional folk aesthetics.

Operating under Zane Artworks, every original piece bears his personal maker's mark, standing as a testament to a lifelong dedication to tactile, element-driven fine art.
